Local Government Week
October 19-25, 2020
WHEREAS the week of October 19 - 25, 2020 will be celebrated in the Township of McNab/Braeside as Local Government Week;
AND WHEREAS the municipal level of government performs the functions that significantly impact the day to day life of citizens throughout the world and are the closest level of government to communities;
AND WHEREAS Local Government Week is a one-week campaign intended to celebrate the significant and key role that municipal governments play in helping to define the character, priorities, amenities and physical make up and quality of life of communities across Ontario;
THEREFORE, I, Mayor Tom Peckett, do hereby proclaim October 19-25, 2020 as "Local Government Week" in the Township of McNab/Braeside.
