The Township of McNab/Braeside has Commissioner of Oaths available (*by appointment) to commission documents such as affidavits, oaths and statutory declarations.
The Township does not have a Notary Public and therefore cannot notarize documents.
Township staff cannot answer questions pertaining to your documents and cannot provide legal advice.
Fees
There is a fee to Township residents of $5 per document needing to be commissioned.
There is a fee to non-residents of $30 per document needing to be commissioned.
How do I get my document Commissioned?
- Review the list of documents below to confirm that we can commission your document.
- Contact the Township Office to make an appointment.
- Bring a piece of government issued photo I.D. (no health cards).
- Do not sign or date the document you need commissioned prior to meeting with the Commissioner of Oaths.
- All parties signing the document must be present, show I.D., and sign the document in front of the Commissioner of Oaths.
