2008 FINAL BILL INSERT

Tax Notices are being mailed at this time to property owners with Residential, Farm, Managed Forests and Pipeline property classes. Properties affected by the Provinces 10-5-5 regulations, being Multi-Residential, Commercial and Industrial properties will be mailed out later in the year when these adjustments have been completed. The final tax levy is split into two installments, being due July 31, 2008 and September 30, 2008. By-law No. 2008-24 was passed by Council on May 6th, 2008 to adopt the 2008 Budget and Tax Rates.

The Township of McNab/Braeside is the 5th highest contributor to the Renfrew County levy for 2008. The Township will submit payment for the levy in the amount of $2,641,558 (Two million, Six hundred and Forty-one thousand, Five hundred and Fifty-eight dollars).

For every dollar the Township collects in taxes, the Township retains 31 cents, the Schools receives 29 cents and the County receives 40 cents. In 2007, the Township Tax rate was the 6th lowest in Renfrew County.
