The Township of McNab/Braeside has by-laws that regulate the ownership and activity of dogs in the municipality. Please take some time and review the municipal by-laws as well as the Provincial legislation that regulate your dog.

Dog Licence: By-law
All dogs must be licenced in the Township. Losing a pet can be a traumatic experience for you and your pet. The dog licence and registration program assists in reuniting owners with their dog. All licences expire on December 31 of each year. Licences can be obtained from the Municipal Office or by mailing the completed Dog Registration Form, your dog tag and receipt will be mailed to you.

Licence Fees on or before March 31st of each year

1st Dog	$ 12.00
2nd Dog	$ 20.00
3rd Dog	$ 30.00
Kennel Licence	$ 150.00

Licence Fees after March 31st of each year

1st Dog	$ 24.00
2nd Dog	$ 40.00
3rd Dog	$ 60.00
Kennel Licence	$ 250.00

A Township appointed official will be going door to door to ensure that all dogs are licenced. The owners of unlicenced dogs will be charged the extra costs and fines levied. For any problems with dogs, please contact the Township Office.

Procedure to obtain a Kennel Licence
Kennel Licence can be obtained from the municipal office during office hours (8:30am-4:00pm, Monday - Friday). The location of the said Kennel must conform to the requirements of Section 3.22 (d)(i) of Zoning By-law No. 99-18.
